Contemporary sculpture in forged carbon fibre and gold-leaf gilding by Roland Delsemme.
Purebred Arabian is a contemporary sculpture composed of two distinct forms, celebrating the nobility, strength and elegance of the Arabian horse.
Through two complementary figures, the sculpture explores the movement and natural grace of this exceptional animal. The flowing curves of the necks, the tension of the forms and the open spaces between them create a sense of balance, freedom and lightness.
Forged carbon fibre, enriched with gold fragments and gold-leaf gilding, contrasts with the deep, mineral character of Portoro marble, giving the composition a distinctive presence.

Far removed from its traditional use in composite engineering, forged carbon fibre becomes a sculptural material in its own right.
Its irregular texture, fragmented fibres and deep black tones give it an almost mineral appearance, far removed from its industrial origins.
Combined with gold-leaf gilding, the material reveals subtle contrasts between darkness and light, strength and delicacy.
Each fragment catches the light differently, creating a constantly changing surface that brings the sculpture to life.
Each sculpture is the result of a personal exploration of form, movement and the relationship between materials.
Curves and open spaces are carefully balanced to capture the essence of the animal while preserving a contemporary and expressive aesthetic.
From the sculpting of carbon fibre to the application of gold leaf and the selection of marble, every stage contributes to the unique character of the artwork.
Pur-sang arabe is a unique sculpture, available for acquisition subject to its current availability.
